This position is responsible for the efficient and safe handling, trans-loading, and movement of freight within Unit Load Devices (ULDs). This role ensures that cargo is trans-loaded between various modes of transportation (e.g., air to ground, ground to air) in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining the integrity and security of the cargo at all times. This process is currently scheduled for an evening to early morning operation. This job is a 5 day per week job. The sortation operation is conducted 7-days per week. Work on the weekend may be required.

Pay Range:
$19.36 / HR with a $2/hour Loyalty Incentive Program paid quarterly.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Trans-loading Operations: Efficiently trans-load freight between ULDs, trucks, and other transportation modes, ensuring minimal delay and maximum safety.
  • Cargo Handling: Safely handle various types of cargo, including hazardous materials, perishable goods, and oversized items, while following proper loading/unloading procedures.
  • ULD Management: Inspect and prepare ULDs for trans-loading, ensuring they are in good condition and meet all safety standards before use.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete required documentation for trans-loading operations, including inventory counts, condition reports, and regulatory compliance paperwork.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follow all safety protocols and company policies related to cargo handling, equipment operation, and hazardous materials.
  • Communication: Coordinate with other team members, drivers, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely trans-loading of freight.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during trans-loading operations, such as damaged cargo or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications:
  • Able to multi-task and work effectively under a minimum level of supervision in a fast-paced environment, strong problem-solving skills.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to stand/walk for designated work hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Demonstrate a consistent capability of working cooperatively with others in a team environment.
  • Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends.
  • Available to work extended hours as needed.
  • Must pass a background investigation.
  • Must be friendly and helpful with a professional disposition.
  • Be able to take direction from leads, warehouse supervisor, and managers.
Physical Requirements:

The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty pounds will be done using team lift.
