Summary You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the SUPPLY DEPARTMENT- 500 of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Salary Range: GS-11: $77,192 - $100,344 GS-09: $63,800 - $82,938 Responsibilities You will serve as the point of contact and have overall responsibility to make buying decisions and provide analysis to help determine the best sourcing methods when materials are not readily available from the National Stock System. You will ensure timely processing of customer orders and help customers access product, account, and order information. You will determine parts supportability across all sources of supply for established and future shop workloads. You will lead vendor identification efforts and provide research on potential vendors as a supply source. You will ensure all material required for ship repair and alteration during availabilities is ordered and sourced correctly to support production schedules. You will develop and initiate administrative procedures and controls to ensure that material requisitions are processed in an orderly manner within the time and budget constraints. You will review end item status and other pertinent information to develop or modify parts strategies to resolve and eliminate the recurrence of unfilled orders. You will coordinate with various sources of supply and representatives of other organizations to maintain synchronized supply support. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, coordinating and executing material management plans to ensure project material requisitions are processed timely and within budget to maintain shipyard supply management program objectives. For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing inventory and supply requirements for shipyard projects to create plans for material sourcing in order to ensure tracking and on time transport of materials to meet shipyard project objectives.
