The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is seeking a qualified System Administrator (Directory Services) to support our government customer at Fort Shafter, Hawai'i.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Operate, manage, and defend the classified and unclassified active directory forest.
  • Ensure the AP forest is secure and operational 99.9% of the time.
  • Provide AD service support for DODIN-A PACIFIC.
  • Provide AD situational awareness to RCC-P Director, Deputy Director, and Team Lead.
  • Diagnose and repair AD degradation or interruptions.
  • Maintain AD domain controllers and update all CI to meet security requirements.
  • Continuously monitor the Active Directory Domain for malfunctions, intrusion attempts, and anomalies.
  • Design and manage directory synchronizations with other systems.
  • Create utilities and scripts to synchronize directory services, ensuring data integrity and user functionality.
  • Provide Active Directory administration at regional nodes.
  • Manage Microsoft Active Directory OU permissions according to delegation models.
  • Operate and maintain global directory support for Forest Management.
  • Perform hardware/software upgrades, security patches, backups, restores, and system tuning.
  • Resolve IT server and workstation trouble tickets.
  • Create and modify Group Policies to meet customer needs and address vulnerabilities.
  • Manage AD user accounts across various systems and implement required standards and fixes.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Enterprise Backups:

  • Install, operate, and maintain enterprise backup systems for DoDIN Army Pacific hardware.
  • Develop backup routines to ensure data availability and integrity.
  • Implement archive routines to meet retention and recovery requirements, including email and electronic data storage.

Additional Components:

  • Perform fault management, preventive maintenance, and recovery for IT components.
  • Manage, monitor, and secure internal systems and assets at the RCC-P work center.
  • Complete 99.9% of support requests within established deadlines and document all actions in Remedy system.
  • Manage domain-level PKI infrastructure.

Hours: 24x7

Required Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Must meet IAT III baseline requirements per DoD 8570.01-M.
  • Certifications such as FITSP-0, GFACT, CASP+, CCNP Security, or CCSP.
  • Must obtain Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert within 6 months.

Skills and Experience:

  • Enterprise System Administration experience on Microsoft Windows; knowledge of server applications like DNS, IIS, SharePoint, SAN/NAS, VM, LDAP, etc.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP network architecture and security principles.

Citizenship and Clearance:

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Minimum Secret clearance; TS eligibility required.
