The role as the Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership within a functional area of the Aulani Food & Beverage Line of Business. In this role, you will ensure safe and efficient operations, lead through key business drivers and deliver a high level of immersion and Cast engagement! You will also develop, implement and sustain the operational vision, while using the overall strategic vision of the resort. You will report to the Food & Beverage Director.

This position is Full-time and will be working onsite at our breathtaking Aulani resort on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

What You Will Do

  • Translate and integrate the vision into strategic operating plans passionate about innovation and continuous process improvements. Plans should drive boosted Guest, Cast and financial results taking into account the current driven environment and growing expectations of our Guest and Cast.

  • Provide functional subject matter expertise to Area Leader and partner with F&B Director to drive functional expertise within area.

  • Handle all financial profit and operating expenses including revenue generation, cost containment, budgets, labor management and resource optimization for the functional area.

  • Interpret and apply metrics and operational indicators to measure, empower and improve performance.

  • Influence key partners and Cast to ensure execution of the strategic plans.

  • Drive innovation and optimization efforts as a leader of the Operating team and support a One Site mind set to ensure seamless and continuous Guest experiences.

  • Champion a positive environment that builds community and trust by supporting the delivery of Five Keys Basics, modeling the Disney Leader Basics and Aulani Values.

Here's what you'll need to be successful:

  • Ability to lead outlets within a complex

  • Proven three (3) years of management experience

  • Previous revenue responsibility of $6M annually

  • Prior experience in Table Service restaurants and Lounges

  • Proven wine and spirit knowledge

  • Demonstrated business acumen

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated passion of Guest service and Cast development

  • Demonstrated ability to improve operational processes and efficiencies

  • Demonstrated strong partnering, organizational, and decision-making skills

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, guide and work with a team with varied strengths

  • Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment

It would be a plus if you also have these skills:

  • Sommelier certified

  • Validated 3 years of leadership in a AAA four or five diamond rated restaurant

  • Experience leading salaried leaders

  • Previous experience in Quick Service restaurant

  • Proficient in Japanese and/or Hawaiian language

  • Current or previous experience in Hawaii

  • Associate degree or equivalent

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree

The hiring range for this position in Hawaii is $85,800 to $115,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
