The Water Safety Instructor I is responsible for teaching swim lessons to children at least 6 months old and adults according to Kroc Center Hawaii guidelines and enforce pool and safety rules and Kroc Center Hawaii policies to maintain a safe environment and member and guest satisfaction. The Kroc Center Hawaii Water Safety Instructor I will have a deep commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army, which will be evident in his or her professional life and the manner in which he or she represents The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in the community. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or GED. American Red Cross or Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Certification, American Red Cross, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. At least 1 year of teaching swimming in a formal setting PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Swim lesson instruction and water exercise instruction.
