Position Summary

Responsible for managing the Credit Union's interest rate risk (IRR) management and investments functions. The successful candidate is responsible for the measurement of the company's interest rate risk position, including net interest income (NII) and net economic value (NEV) sensitivity, and recommends strategies to manage the position within the Credit Union's policies and regulatory guidelines. Also responsible for all aspects of the Credit Union's investment portfolio, including reporting, analytics, recommending strategies, and ad hoc analysis. The Treasurer is expected to be able to operate independently with guidance from the CFO.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least six years of work experience in fixed income, Treasury, or related area performing quantitative financial analysis—preferably within a credit union, bank, or similar institution.
  • Five years of experience in an IRR or ALM function with experience with ALM software.
  • Supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of investments, fixed income, economics, financial markets, credit union products, asset and liability management, and reporting.
  • Thorough understanding of credit union industry.
  • Knowledge of standard financial concepts including present value analysis, financial modeling, Funds Transfer Pricing, and capital markets instruments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidance on interest rate risk management.
  • Knowledge of related support functions, including accounting and computer applications.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, critical thinking, investigative problem-solving and decision-making talents.
  • Ability to coordinate, manage, and direct others.
  • Well organized and able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work Under pressure, prioritizes multiple tasks, and brings tasks to complete closure.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of MS Office products, SQL, financial.

Salary Range

  • Minimum - $96,235
  • Maximum - $173,222
