Summary

The Senior Network Engineering Lead provides engineering, deployment of engineering solutions, and support services for both cloud and on-premise network infrastructures. Responsible for technical expertise and hands-on support in network analysis, design, planning, assessment, development, and implementation. Supports network architecture and operation of cloud platforms on Azure and AWS. Acts as primary escalation support for recommendations and corrective actions to ensure optimal network performance. Provides technical consulting on projects, network device configurations, and vendor management related to IT Infrastructure environments.

Essential Functions

  • Support and own the network infrastructure in a global environment, optimizing stability, availability, reliability, and performance. Manage routers, switches, load balancers, and other network hardware / virtual appliances.
  • Design network topologies, architectures, and services to meet complex business requirements. Communicate technology impacts effectively.
  • Develop relationships across departments to ensure successful project implementation. Collect and analyze business requirements, perform feasibility studies, and translate into designs.
  • Assist application and IT teams with new technologies, upgrades, and technical support to meet business needs. Manage network project activities aligning with Go Live schedules.
  • Provide third-level support for all locations, including escalations related to network access, Wi-Fi, internet, hardware, and other devices.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as network diagrams and data flow diagrams.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Share responsibility with team members for timely IT service delivery and support.
  • Maintain good relationships with customers and colleagues to meet service levels.
  • Lead or support projects using project management techniques.
  • Participate in on-call rotations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong technical aptitude with skills in configuration management, network security, IT architecture, and systems integration.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to build professional relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, complex environments, adapting to changing technologies, meeting deadlines, and managing projects.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent time management.
  • Deep understanding of systems design principles and technical architectures.
  • Knowledge of IP communication, routing, network protocols, management protocols, and security protocols.
  • Experience with WAN / LAN / Cloud technologies and end-to-end network architecture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; H.S. diploma / GED required.
  • At least 7 years of experience with SD-WAN, network switching, routing, WAN technologies, and security.
  • Experience managing large-scale monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Experience architecting and operating multi-site WAN infrastructures.
  • Deep experience with network design models, root cause analysis, and cloud network infrastructures on Azure and AWS.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection, and threat protection platforms.
  • Certifications like CCNP, CCNA, and cloud certifications (AWS or Azure) are required.

Travel : 1-10%

Safety Sensitive : Adherence to safety standards required for onsite visits.

Salary Range : $110,000 - $130,000, plus potential bonuses and benefits.
