The team is currently seeking a dynamic Assistant Director of Human Resources to lead the HR team in fostering a positive team culture aligned with Hilton values.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Five years of Human Resources management experience.
  • At least two years of advanced knowledge and experience in Labor Relations.
  • Experience handling investigations, grievances, arbitration, mediations, and union requests for information.
  • Working knowledge of EEO, Benefits, and Leave laws.
  • Hospitality experience is preferred.
  • A legal background is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000.

What will I be doing?

The role involves managing labor relations, including investigations, employee counseling, grievance resolution per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and participation in union negotiations. The Assistant Director will also serve as a Board of Trustee for the Union/Hotel Trust Funds.

Additionally, you will assist in directing and administering the HR functions to deliver exceptional guest service and ensure financial profitability. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily HR department activities.
  • Overseeing recruitment, training, benefits administration, compliance, team member relations, labor relations, performance evaluations, workers' compensation, safety, employment processes, and leadership support.
  • Facilitating meetings, monitoring team performance, providing supervision, conducting counseling and evaluations, and recognizing achievements.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Managing team member relations programs such as events and communications.
  • Overseeing the team member data management system.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and training new team members.
  • Preparing HR-related reports.
  • Acting in the absence of the Director.
  • Leading the hotel quality initiative as needed.
