Role Summary
This role will lead a team of Catering Operations Regional Managers and/or Principals responsible for overseeing the operational reliability of our catering partners. As a people leader, this role will establish priorities for a team that holds catering partners accountable for providing safe, on-time, and accurate service delivery. The leader will oversee strategic relationships with major caterers and cross-functional partners to build and execute plans that deliver critical guest products and Flight Attendant tools.
Key Duties
- Lead a team responsible for holding caterers accountable to performance metrics outlined in catering service agreements.
- Drive and influence change at catering partners for corrective actions or process improvements.
- Ensure continuous improvement in catering operational performance, safety, and quality.
- Manage Flight Attendant catering feedback programs to ensure quality feedback is captured and acted upon.
- Lead change management initiatives, including menu changes and new station/catering location startups.
- Support supplier management by contributing to RFP requirements, KPI monitoring, and performance programs.
- Make data-driven operational decisions to meet dependability goals while balancing customer impact.
- Lead and collaborate with cross-departmental teams on strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and internal standards.
- Develop team members through performance management and ongoing feedback.
- Shape team culture through actions and reinforcement of desired behaviors.
- Travel up to 50% to support operational and strategic initiatives.
Required Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
- 5+ years in airline operational leadership, supply chain, or related fields.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Inclusive leadership style with ability to drive change.
- Ability to attract, develop, and retain talent.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and personnel management skills.
- Proven results-driven leader capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Change management expertise.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SmartSheet.
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in airline catering, food/beverage, or hospitality.
- Six Sigma or similar certifications.
- Advanced business degree.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Guidelines and HAACP.
- Project management experience.
Additional Information
Salary Range: $107,100 - $160,650/year; Total Target Compensation: $117,810 - $176,715. Compensation depends on location, experience, and skills. Benefits include travel privileges, health benefits, 401k match, bonuses, and paid time off.
