Women, Peace & Security Planner

Description:

Amentum is seeking a dynamic Women, Peace & Security Operations Planner with planning and administrative experience supporting Women, Peace, and Security operations. This position will directly support U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

Specific duties include:

  • Assist in managing the Office of WPS operations, activities, and investments, including knowledge management, coordination, and program monitoring.
  • Support the WPS Director/Command WPS Advisor in developing strategies, plans, and program initiatives, including strategic messaging.
  • Develop and manage WPS social media activities, draft press releases, and coordinate Public Affairs for publication.
  • Facilitate and manage internal USINDOPACOM WPS training, such as the WPS Focal Point Course and WPS Advisor Course, including curriculum knowledge management and evaluation.
  • Provide planning support and execute key leader or interagency engagements related to WPS issues.
  • Develop products like talking points, information papers, and presentations for leadership.
  • Handle administrative tasks: calendar management, MS Teams, SharePoint, and knowledge management.
  • Coordinate workshop and conference logistics, content development, and participate as a speaker or panelist.
  • Represent posture efforts related to the Philippines, focusing on local risk reduction and community outreach, in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Coordinate with policy offices and security cooperation officers to integrate WPS into regional and country engagement plans.
  • Assist in designing, planning, and delivering WPS security cooperation engagements.
  • Support the development and coordination of WPS strategic messages with partner nations and manage related social media activities.
  • Assist in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of WPS programs, including security cooperation efforts.
  • Serve as USINDOPACOM CTIP Program coordinator to ensure compliance and monitor data reporting.
  • Participate in cross-functional planning groups to incorporate WPS perspectives.
  • Coordinate with internal WPS focal points to promote capacity building and collaboration.
  • Engage with stakeholders such as federal agencies, civil society, academia, and foreign partners to advance WPS integration.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Top-Secret clearance (US citizenship required).
  • At least one year of experience in USINDOPACOM Women, Peace & Security.
  • Three years of experience working in the USINDOPACOM AOR.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including experience with reports and presentations to senior leaders.
  • Experience in teaching, instruction, or public speaking.
  • Knowledge of the Indo-Pacific region and USINDOPACOM strategy.
  • Experience in DoD planning and execution at operational or strategic levels.
  • Ability to coordinate and assess programs and efforts, adjusting as needed.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the US and overseas.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited university.
  • Three years' experience in Women, Peace, and Security.
  • Five years' experience in the Indo-Pacific AOR.
