This position is for a full-time Resident Manager I with Housing at Nohona Hale, a 111-unit affordable family housing community in Honolulu, HI. This is a Tax Credit / HMMF Bond property. Qualified candidates should have 1+ years of affordable housing property management experience and knowledge of HUD, TCAC, DFEH, and ADA guidelines. A valid driver's license, clean DMV record, and reliable transportation are required. Experience with Yardi is a plus. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain a REL license within 9 months. Salary range: $21.17 - $36.85 per hour; the hiring range for new employees is generally $21.17 - $29.01 per hour, DOE. Final offers will consider experience and current salary levels within EAH.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the property, including administrative, facilities, and marketing tasks
  • Collect rent, make deposits, prepare rent roll, verify income
  • Ensure compliance with HUD, TCAC, and other regulations
  • Maintain waiting list, prepare leases, supervise staff
  • Process evictions, conduct inspections, coordinate repairs
  • For HUD properties, submit vouchers

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of property management experience
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and reports
  • Strong resident problem-solving and staff management skills

Background Checks and Drug Testing

EAH conducts criminal background checks and verifies education and employment. Certain roles may require fingerprinting and onsite household member screening. All candidates with a conditional offer must pass background and drug tests (excluding marijuana/cannabis). Satisfactory completion of these is required for employment.
