Position Summary / Primary Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Network Administrator to oversee and manage our company's IT infrastructure, systems, and team. The role involves ensuring secure and efficient operation of all computer systems, applications, hardware, and software. This position requires both in-person and virtual work, with some responsibilities on-site. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership qualities, and a strategic mindset aligned with the company's goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee daily IT operations, ensure systems and networks function smoothly and securely, manage hardware/software installation and maintenance, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, conduct security audits, and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the IT team, set performance goals, conduct evaluations, provide training, and coordinate tasks for IT projects and support.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop IT strategies, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend improvements to infrastructure and operations.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders, negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and communicate IT needs effectively.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans, updating procedures as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT management or similar role
  • Strong background in user support and IT service delivery
  • Technical knowledge of networks, systems, hardware, and software
  • Experience leading IT projects across multiple locations or remotely
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with strategic planning and vendor management
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, PMP
  • Experience with cloud environments like Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, M365

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged sitting and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Occasional travel within Hawaii

Job Details

Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings/weekends

Pay: Starting at $75,000 annually, based on experience
