Aircraft Mechanics Needed (Part Time, Honolulu Location)

Description:

Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMT) are responsible for performing high-quality aircraft maintenance on various types of transport category aircraft. AMTs must possess a valid FAA Aircraft Maintenance Technician license. Experience on common transport aircraft such as B-777, B-747, B-737, B-767, and Airbus 319/320/321 is a plus, but all experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform aircraft transit inspections and fault resolution.
  2. Conduct aircraft system testing and troubleshooting.
  3. Remove and replace defective parts, including final operational checks.
  4. Operate all necessary power tools and equipment.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely maintenance records.
  6. Interpret technical manuals, drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  7. Operate ground handling equipment used to service the aircraft.
  8. Support company policies and safety programs.
  9. Perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  11. Be reliable and dependable.
  12. Pay attention to detail and provide excellent customer service.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Station Manager.

Qualifications

  • Valid FAA Aircraft Maintenance Technician license with an Airframe and Powerplant rating.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Willing to work in inclement weather.
  • U.S. citizen or proof of right to work in the U.S.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Ability to work under stress and tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented.
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
  • Pass background check, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history, and drug test.
  • Positions available for various experience and skill levels.

  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, including those with limited English proficiency.

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.

Physical Demands

  • Lift, carry, move, push, and pull 30-50 lbs unassisted.
  • Have 20/20 corrected vision, good hearing, and wear PPE as required.
  • Regularly use hands, talk, hear, bend, stoop, kneel, stand, and walk.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Operate vehicles and heavy equipment.

Pay & Benefits

  • Salary: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
