Director: $109,000 - $147,000

Manager: $76,000 - $102,000

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic marketing leader to join our team in a flexible role that will be hired as either a Director of Marketing or Marketing Manager, depending on experience and qualifications. This individual will play a key role in driving the strategic direction, execution, and performance of our marketing initiatives for both Y. Hata and ChefZone. The position combines hands-on leadership, digital innovation, brand management, and vendor partnership development to support company growth and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the Marketing team to deliver high-quality, strategic marketing initiatives.
  2. Oversee or execute multi-channel campaigns including digital, social media, email, print, events, and promotions.
  3. Plan and execute customer-facing initiatives (food shows, sponsorships, community events), ensuring brand visibility and vendor integration.
  4. Lead exclusive brand initiatives in partnership with vendor and third-party organizations.
  5. Drive development and optimization of ecommerce and digital platforms to enhance customer experience.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, category, supply chain) to align marketing with business goals.
  7. Manage marketing assets, content creation, and internal/external communications.
  8. Maintain brand consistency and oversee production of marketing materials (sell sheets, signage, presentations, etc.).
  9. Administer marketing budgets and report on ROI and performance metrics.
  10. Implement marketing technology solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Director-Level Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Marketing, Communications, or Business preferred.
  • 7+ years in progressive marketing roles, including leadership of a marketing team.
  • Proven success in strategic planning and driving incremental vendor income.
  • Experience managing a marketing department budget.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Manager-Level Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Marketing, Communications, or Business preferred.
  • 5+ years of marketing and/or brand management experience, preferably in foodservice or hospitality.
  • Experience supervising staff or leading small teams.
  • Hands-on project management skills and ability to translate strategy into execution.

Preferred Experience & Skills (Both Levels):

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization, time management, and creative problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient in marketing tools and platforms (CRM, email, analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Familiarity with foodservice, hospitality, or retail marketing.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments.

Demands & Work Environment:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent computer and telephone use; occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Typical office environment with occasional off-site events and vendor meetings.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday

during regular business hours, with evening and weekend availability as needed for events.
