Responsibilities

Peraton requires an IT Specialist to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3. This position is located at Camp Smith, HI.

The SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order provides USSOCOM and its components with Operations and Maintenance services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps), systems, network infrastructure, end user support, configuration, change management, asset management, training, and IMACs services. The IT Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and end-users worldwide 24/7/365.

The IT Specialist performs tier one and two network support according to the SIE OPORD. Responsibilities include administering network and communication systems, troubleshooting, analyzing, diagnosing, managing equipment logs, and ensuring link functionality. The role involves coordinating network administration, analyzing long-range requirements, preparing technical implementation plans, researching standards, and ensuring network compliance. The position also requires supporting LAN and WAN infrastructures throughout their lifecycle, following network standards for design, installation, and maintenance.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing installation, tuning, testing, operation, monitoring, upgrading, patching, break/fix, defense, and management of WAN and LAN routing and switching infrastructure hardware and software.
• Planning, designing, engineering, configuring, operating, maintaining, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing LAN/WAN capabilities, circuits, and related devices.
• Managing VPN services, troubleshooting networks, implementing access controls, configuring routers and switches, collaborating with external providers, and supporting exercises.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI or above clearance required.
• Minimum experience: 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD; 12 years with HS Diploma.
• DoDD 01-M IAT II compliance.

Desired Qualification: CCNA
