This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role focuses on the development, operation, and maintenance of software systems using systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches. The ideal candidate will contribute to improving the reliability and maintainability of complex software systems, which may contain millions of lines of code.

What You Will Do

• Apply software engineering methodologies to address technical challenges in software design, testing, and maintenance.
• Establish software information and engineering requirements based on system complexity and project scope.
• Develop and refine software using structured development processes to ensure reliability.
• Conduct software testing and validation to enhance performance and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including computer science, engineering, project management, and systems engineering professionals.
• Analyze software ergonomics and quality management principles to optimize user experience.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
• Familiarity with industry-standard practices and procedures for software development.
• Strong understanding of software lifecycle processes and engineering principles.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines for efficient project execution.
