Computer Specialist II

Position Summary
Responsible for all daily, weekly and monthly IS Production Reports generation and distribution, maintenance of all hardware and software required for the continual and efficient functioning of all in-house systems, maintenance of applications and/or interfaces as assigned, maintenance and problem resolution of UHA telephone system, providing assistance to users on problems with hardware, software and network access, collaboration and the ability to work amicably with co-workers as assigned by IS manager
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for troubleshooting and repair computer and network issues, including but not limited to, the claims processing system, local area network, and printers. Resolve the problem if possible, otherwise contact vendor's technical support.
- Responsible for setup of PCs for users and logins to file network, and setup phones and headphones, if necessary, including the ACD (Automatic Call Distribution) lines and skillsets.
- Responsible for availability and setup of system applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Crystal reports, MAS accounting system and Windows network file system.
- Responsible for running Check Runs each month, and maintaining check inventory and making sure check printing system is in order.
- Responsible for running monthly Billing invoices
- Responsible for running applications to load EDI claims into Claim system
- Responsible for printing daily, weekly, monthly reports, and member ID cards
- Responsible for maintaining IS Production Procedures Manual with new and revised production procedures
- Responsible for tracking and procuring equipment (PC, laptops, phone, PC accessories, sound system, hotspots, adapters, cables, encrypted flash drives, etc.) and production stationary (invoices,
- Responsible for working with Information Services (IS) Manager to develop, program and run reports as required or authorized by company policies and procedures
- Assist Network Administrators with network systems tasks including, but not limited to QNXT claims processing system, Windows AD, Windows OS, Microsoft SQL Server, Outlook 365, system security, virus/malware detection and removal
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned by the IS Manager.
- Attendance is an essential function of the position. Able to work outside of normal business hours as situation requires, (ie. system upgrades and testing)
- Able to stand in to perform Mailroom functions including end-to-end claims processing from receiving to sorting and scanning into electronic formats
Required Education And Experience
The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Associate Degree in Information and Computer Science from an accredited community college or equivalent
- Two years' work experience in assisting users of computer hardware and software applications
- Must have good written communication skills to document the department's policies and procedures
- Able to operate ten key adding machine or calculator, copying machine, optical scanner and other standard office equipment
- Able to use acquired skills and knowledge and demonstrates willingness to learn new skills
Preferred And Advanced Qualifications
- Certification in specific system applications: Windows AD, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Windows 7/10, Microsoft SQL Server, Powershell, Microsoft batch scripting, PC diagnosis/repair.
