Automotive Technician with Aloha Kia

Location: 2025-05-11 Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), Honolulu, HI

Description:

Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military Veterans the opportunity to begin an inspiring career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. To support this initiative, Kia America, Inc. has established the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).

Job Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
2. Complete repair orders and warranty requests following Kia and Retailer policies and procedures.
3. Test drive vehicles, analyze, diagnose, and repair components and systems using Kia diagnostic strategies, special equipment, and tools.
4. Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs promptly while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure an optimal customer experience.

Employment Details:

All potential employment opportunities listed are with independently owned and operated Kia Retailers. Applicants are applying for full-time employment with a participating Kia Retailer, not with KUS or ERS. Employment is subject to federal and state laws applicable to each Kia Retailer's location.

KUS and ERS do not guarantee employment to participants of VTAP. Employment decisions are at the discretion of the Kia Retailer, based on eligibility, skills, and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Honorable Discharge from the military
• Valid driver's license from any state with a clean driving record
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field
• Willingness to complete and pass drug screening and background checks
