Koloa Elementary, a vibrant and community-oriented school in Koloa, Hawaii, is seeking enthusiastic teachers for the upcoming school year. We have openings for multiple Grade 1-4 teaching positions and invite qualified educators to apply. Minimum Qualifications

The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers in every classroom. With the exception of designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) positions, the minimum qualification to apply for a teacher, librarian or counselor position is a Bachelor's Degree.

If hired without a completed Teacher's Education Program, you have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license. You must enroll in a Program to continue employment, and demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements each year, as set by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (HTSB). It is your responsibility to ensure the program aligns with your teaching line and to secure your Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire.

Payday and Benefits

New employees can expect their first paycheck within the first 3 pay periods. Payday is on the 5th and 20th (or previous business day) of each month. Benefits for 10-month teachers include competitive salary, paid sick leave, holidays, health insurance, life insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits as detailed in the full job posting.
