This position is with the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife, located in Downtown, Oahu.
Salary: Level VI - $6,399.00 to $7,787.00 per month (SR-26, Step D to I). Note: Hiring rate depends on funds, qualifications, and other factors.
The Forester VI serves as a top-level professional authority in forestry management, developing new techniques, programs, policies, and guidelines. The role involves initiating and conducting complex analyses, proposing solutions, and making decisions impacting programs and resources. You will lead the Outdoor Recreation Section and Na Ala Hele Trails and Access Program, providing leadership, technical expertise, and policy guidance on outdoor recreation and trail management statewide.
