Other Conditions: The Department of Anthropology, College of Social Sciences, University of Hawai'i at Manoa (Honolulu, Hawai'i) invites applicants for the position of Instructor (I-2). This is a non-tenure track, full-time, 9-month, faculty appointment to begin August 1, 2025, subject to position clearance and availability of funds.
We are seeking a broadly trained archaeologist whose focus is on laboratory and field methods. Archaeologists with experience and expertise in the Pacific Region are preferred, though candidates with experience in North America and Asia will also be considered. There is currently a pressing need in the State of Hawai'i to grow the professional archaeological workforce. We are particularly interested in applicants who can also offer instruction in cultural heritage legislation and preservation, zooarchaeology, archaeobotany, and/or quantitative methods, although other methodological specialties complementing existing faculty strengths will also be considered.
