Position Title: Nursing Unit Secretary
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Manager, Nursing Services and Staff Registered Nurse

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs receptionist and clerical duties on the patient care unit while functioning as the focal communication source in the nursing station among nursing staff and other interdisciplinary team members, patients and family.

Starting Wage: $15.791
The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School graduate or equivalent.

Skills/Experience:

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous work experience in a medical/hospital setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Experience:

• At least one (1) year of previous work experience as a Unit Secretary.
• Basic computer skills.
