IIT Assistant Site Manager

SUMMARY

Assist the Site Manager to ensure all operations personnel meet pre-deployment and unit training objectives as they relate to the IIT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee exercise and scenario development, integrate current theater threat information into training support packages, and execute Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) priorities for training support.
  • Provide quality assurance assessments in support of customer and manage collection of information and data to support research requirements and funding assessment activities.
  • Manage development of facility daily procedures.
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination and manage resources to execute solutions and to ensure that planned and executed training events meet installation safety constraints.
  • Ensure that Current and Relevant Small Unit Leaders Training is conducted in accordance with Marine Corps Guidance.
  • Participate in presentational meetings and articulate IIT issues to stakeholders.
  • Observe delivery of goods/services from contracted vendors and coordinate with contract supervisors, in accordance with negotiated contract specifications.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage IIT training events.
  • Improve training doctrine.
  • Ensure that IIT is in proper working order to support Live, Virtual & Constructive training events.
  • Play a major role in support of unit training execution and after-action review.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum twelve (12) years demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the squad through company level.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, or another Business-related field. In lieu of degree, relevant work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
  • Professional Military Experience (PME).
  • Experience in curriculum development.
  • Current experience with Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and lessons learned from official sources related to overseas contingency operations and battlefield environments.
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps Systems Approach to Training (SAT), scenario development, exercise design and T&R requirements.
  • Must be familiar with training systems management and operations.
  • Must be able to meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a minimum of Secret clearance issued by the U.S. Government (generally, this requires U.S. Citizenship).
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Currency with TTPs, Lessons Learned, and OPFOR from recent real-world operations preferred.
  • Attendance at professional military education institution such as Expeditionary Warfare School, Command and Staff, or Staff Noncommissioned Officer Academy Advanced Leadership School preferred.
  • Recent experience operating in combat zone in the last four (4) years preferred.
  • Specifically oriented on skills that help individuals and small unit leaders to perform their duties in the IIT and maximize unit training effectiveness.
  • Combat arms skills background.
  • Strong leadership, team building and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and present training effectiveness analyses, performance metrics, and routine reports.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

The expected travel time is less than 10%.

DRIVING REQUIREMENT

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver's license and be insurable on the company's automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 10%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in an office setting but may also be performed in a maintenance facility as well as outdoors in military training areas. Work is often performed outdoors, in adverse conditions including inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions. Our mission is to train US Marines; therefore, we work side by side with them in all climates and conditions. Employee may be exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead and vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand tools as wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE

  • Pay: $90,000 per year.
