First Hawaiian Bank is seeking an Assistant Vice President & Automated Lead Test Engineer to join our Application Services Department. In this role, you will:

  1. Work under the direction of the department manager to develop automated testing strategies.
  2. Utilize automated software and tools to reduce manual testing efforts and conduct automated tests on new and existing software.
  3. Review requirements, specifications, and designs to determine the scope of automation testing.
  4. Delegate scripting tasks and oversee all automated testing activities to meet timelines.
  5. Write automated test scripts as needed.
  6. Possibly act as a QA test lead, overseeing all project testing activities.
  7. Understand how reliable testing contributes to the bank's quality goals and organizational well-being.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (hours may vary)

Compensation: The annual salary range is $106,000 - $125,000, commensurate with experience.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Quality Assurance, IT Testing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or similar role.
  • 8+ years of experience with test automation software and tools.
  • 2+ years in the financial industry or a formal testing environment dealing with sensitive customer data.
  • Master's degree or 2+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or auditing fields.
  • QA and Testing Certification (IIST) preferred.
  • Agile/Scrum or Lean Certification preferred.
  • Ability to understand complex systems, processes, and data for validation and verification.
  • Strong understanding of testing techniques and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and database applications.
