Job Summary

This role involves reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. It also includes charging expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.

Responsibilities

  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
  • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies, and insuring credit is received for outstanding memos, as well as issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
  • Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks.
  • Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential and continuously improving the payment process.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Process customer credits.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • Proven working experience as an accounts payable clerk.
