Summary: Crazy Shirts' purpose is to create original and memorable artwork on quality products that take our customers on the endless vacation in everyday life. The Retail Assistant Manager supports this purpose by working with the Store Manager to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the store.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:

• Work with the Store Manager to ensure that all aspects of the store are operating smoothly and in the best interest of the Company, its employees, and its customers.
• Responsible for effectively leading and managing a team including sales associates and sales supervisors.
• Maintain high morale and cooperation among employees through counseling, guidance, positive reinforcement, and recognition.
• Lead, direct, motivate, and develop the retail staff to achieve store and company outcomes.
• Partner with store or area manager to ensure appropriate staffing levels, make hiring decisions, and adjust payroll hours as needed.
• Handle employee concerns or complaints by partnering with Human Resources for resolutions or disciplinary actions.
• Maintain company standards and hold staff accountable for quality customer service and achieving goals.
• Learn all aspects of store management and be willing to grow into a Retail Sales Management position.
• Have a sense of urgency and meet timelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years retail sales and managerial experience preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication.
• Pass the background screening process.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and moving items up to 45 lbs.
• Moving and standing.
• Reading tickets, shipment invoices, UPC codes, and reports.
• Ability to perform essential job functions in environments with varied noise levels.
• Willingness and ability to work alone in a store.
