Job Description

Under the direction of the Director, this position is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, executing, and overseeing the bank's Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) program and related policies. This role will design, build, and lead the Vendor Risk Management function, partnering with key leaders across the organization to drive process, policy, and technology changes. The TPRM department ensures regulatory compliance, protects data entrusted to vendors, and maintains sound risk management practices across financial, business continuity, compliance, and information security domains.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement the vendor risk management framework, operating model, and governance. Establish a roadmap for maturity initiatives supporting a robust third-party landscape. Design vendor risk technology enhancements and collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate issues. Ensure accuracy within the TPRM system of record and generate reports for stakeholders and committees. Analyze data to identify trends and vendor performance patterns.
  2. Maintain a strong understanding of business products, services, and third-party risk principles. Provide guidance and education to stakeholders throughout the third-party lifecycle. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and represent vendor risk management in audits. Support industry projects and foster positive relationships across the bank to enable agility and cost-effectiveness. Promote a strategic vision of security and privacy aligned with third-party compliance.
  3. Manage all employees within the section, including staffing, performance management, and development. Mentor team members on TPRM processes and foster a collaborative environment. Set team goals, measure progress, and encourage innovation.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, audit, accounting, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum 6 years in financial regulatory risk, auditing, or information security, preferably in financial services. Knowledge of risk disciplines and expertise in at least one area.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and risk tools (e.g., VRM, GRC platforms). Experience with tools like ServiceNow, Archer, or similar is desired.
  4. Leadership skills to train, develop, and manage risk for third-party portfolios. Experience with risk assessments, audits, and compliance standards such as SOC, PCI, NIST, ISO 27001. Proven ability to collaborate across functions and promote a security-first culture.
  5. Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP are highly desirable.
