Bristol Hospice is seeking a dynamic Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. As the Scheduling Coordinator, you are responsible for the daily management of scheduling visits to the appropriate clinical staff to positively affect efficient utilization of staffing resources. Additionally, you will oversee regulatory requirements related to visit frequencies.

On An Average Day You Will

(Includes, but not limited to)

  • Use electronic medical record (EMR), schedule patient visits according to plan of care and staff availability for nurses and aides.
  • Enter scheduling data and create schedules in EMR.
  • Communicate changes in schedules to staff and patients.
  • Prioritize urgency of unexpected visit needs and schedule clinical staff accordingly.
  • Review visit frequencies and missed visits for quality assurance.
  • Provide reports to supervisors and case managers.
  • Assist nursing staff with urgent medication orders, DME needs, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience scheduling in a hospice or healthcare environment.
  • Experience with healthcare software programs.
  • Enthusiasm for providing the best possible care to patients and families.
  • Understanding of hospice philosophy and issues of death and dying.
  • Excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills.
