Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • The Project Supervisor collaborates with the Construction Manager to lead the project through all phases, communicating effectively with stakeholders, supervising construction teams and subcontractors to ensure quality, scope, and schedule adherence. Provides technical guidance, training, and mentorship to Trade Leads and workers. Ensures compliance with policies, safety standards, and administrative requirements. Assists in preparing technical documents such as SOWs, ROMs, and risk assessments. Conducts quality checks and promotes safety culture on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise construction efforts under the Construction Manager's guidance.
  • Coordinate resources among labor, subcontractors, materials, clients, and management.
  • Obtain necessary pre-construction permits and surveys.
  • Monitor and enforce project schedule, labor, and workload plans.
  • Manage logistics for materials and tools.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and expectations for team members.
  • Oversee site supervision, employee oversight, and safety protocols.
  • Direct daily activities of construction teams and subcontractors.
  • Mentor junior employees and ensure completion of mandatory training.
  • Report any changes to project scope or specifications.
  • Inspect work for code compliance and quality standards.
  • Use project management tools to monitor scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Accurately document labor hours and project details.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Assist in project closure activities and documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health standards.
  • Promote safety culture among all personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma; two-year degree in construction, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • OSHA Construction Safety Certification with competency in high-hazard areas.
  • At least 8 years of relevant construction experience, with 5 years in supervision.
  • Ability to obtain a CAC or DBIDS card, pass background checks, and hold a valid US driver's license.
  • Experience supporting DOD construction is a plus.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to read schedules, plans, CAD, and as-built drawings.
