*Description*

The Network Engineer will be responsible for deploying, testing, and optimizing network and system services. The role includes configuration management and ensuring operational readiness of network systems across multiple operating systems, along with troubleshooting and fault-finding services for network issues. The successful candidate will have documented experience with DoD networks, systems engineering, technical studies and evaluations, technology assessments, and information systems security policy compliance. They should be able to clearly articulate complex issues and proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical government stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. 5+ years of experience with detailed understanding of network and security appliances.
2. Installation, configuration, and support of network appliances.
3. Proven ability to install and configure physical components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN gateways.
4. Familiarity with device hardening techniques like DoD STIGs and SCAP scanning.
5. Utilizing network monitoring and management tools to ensure security and performance.
6. Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Aruba, Cisco ISE, and F5.
7. Knowledge of Wi-Fi standards such as 802.1ac and 802.11ax.
8. Understanding of routing and switching protocols, PKI implementation, and troubleshooting IPsec communications.
9. Experience with generating CSRs and managing certificates for network devices.
10. Knowledge of firewall rules, ACLs, network load balancers, and 802.1X standards.
11. Familiarity with running ACAS scans and system hardening.
12. Effective communication skills with SMEs and Program Managers.
13. Availability for on-call support.

• Active DoD Secret Clearance minimum.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5+ years experience as a Network Engineer with Cisco and/or Juniper environments.
• 2+ years experience in MCEN and DoD environments.
• Strong understanding of network architectures, appliances, security, virtual environments, protocols, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency with software tools, scripts, and network configuration, monitoring, and repair.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident, hospital coverage, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, employee assistance, PTO, and more, depending on eligibility and employment specifics.
