Sales Director

Description:

The Director, Sales will lead the Hawaii-based sales team in driving growth and cross-selling broader service offerings. This role combines strategic sales leadership, enterprise customer coordination, and direct people management to expand revenue and enhance customer value across divisions

Location: A hybrid position based in Hawaii with a requirement for 50% travel.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team revenue goals.
  • Drive sales growth while identifying cross-divisional sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Coordinate enterprise-level opportunities involving multiple divisions; serve as the lead strategist and point of contact.
  • Create value propositions that align with customer needs and company profitability, working with Finance and divisional leaders.
  • Analyze top accounts for growth and wallet share expansion; make actionable recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, navigate complex buying processes, and lead strategic account management.
  • Ensure effective use of Salesforce and other tools; conduct regular pipeline reviews and forecast accuracy checks.
  • Partner cross-functionally across Client Services, Operations, IT, Procurement, Legal, and Finance to deliver integrated customer solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR to support sales training initiatives and foster a high-performance team culture.
  • All other duties and projects assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years sales experience, preferably in the logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of exhibiting good follow-up with clients and building strong, long-lasting relationships with individuals in the industry.
  • Must have the breadth of knowledge on a wide variety of transportation & logistics topics to converse and have positive interactions with clients; quickly building rapport.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills with the ability to present information and respond to questions from customers; partnered with the ability to understand the audience.
  • Ability to articulate corporate information to current and potential clients and represent the company's image to the public.
  • Team player with the ability to manage partnerships and cultivate relationships with internal and external customers
  • Experienced in using CRM platforms and client reports, specifically Salesforce
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial documents and work with mathematical concepts.
  • Strategic thinker with business acumen and ability to align people, related strategies and recommendations with business and growth objectives
