THIS IS A TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Position Summary: Tidal Basin is seeking a qualified, dynamic, and results-driven Project Manager for a position in Honolulu, HI. The primary role involves establishing and executing project activities, developing strategies to achieve project goals in the emergency management field. The Project Manager will assist clients with emergency management grant programs and oversee business operations, managing staff and outside vendors. Some travel between islands may be required.

The Project Manager will oversee various aspects of emergency management projects, including maintaining operations, meeting objectives, complying with regulations, and adhering to stakeholder requirements. The role requires developing and implementing project goals and milestones with the team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Providing advisory and consulting services to state agencies related to project launch and implementation.
  • Offering project oversight and technical assistance on policies, principles, and procedures.
  • Developing strategies that facilitate project growth and success.
  • Creating management tools for project targeting and performance reporting.
  • Maintaining knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Resolving project service and procedure issues.
  • Writing clear, concise reports.
  • Presenting project ideas and coordinating with management and staff.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Monitoring project performance and establishing control tools.
  • Identifying issues and developing solutions.
  • Leading project activities and reporting to clients.
  • Supporting collaborative processes with clients' POCs.
  • Overseeing the Project Management team to meet results on time and budget.
  • Participating in public presentations, stakeholder meetings, and coordinating performance measurement of subrecipients.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven Project Management expertise.
  • Ability to manage budgets and strategic projections.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Strong client relations and knowledge of government structures.
  • Experience managing professional teams and vendors.
  • Procurement experience.
  • Ability to assist with legislative tasks.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Experience in emergency management programs and federally funded projects.
  • Familiarity with Incident Command Posts and Emergency Operations Centers.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Experience with federal grant reporting systems.
  • Experience with federally funded temporary housing projects.

Hourly Pay Rate: $52-56/hr.
