Job Description

This role requires daily travel within the Honolulu area, including the airport.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities

  1. Meet daily service repair needs, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  2. Install, repair, and maintain equipment; provide customer training as needed.
  3. Document inspections, maintenance, and repairs; submit paperwork promptly.
  4. Manage parts ordering, installation, and cycle times.
  5. Review logs for issues and prepare reports for customers.
  6. Participate in service sales opportunities and promote revenue programs.
  7. Maintain and calibrate tools and test equipment.
  8. Assess product performance; recommend improvements.
  9. Provide technical support to customers and service professionals.
  10. Participate in site surveys, pilot programs, and meetings.
  11. Possess basic technical knowledge of Trace and X-Ray technologies.
  12. Maintain clear business communication, both oral and written.
  13. Establish relationships with senior FSEs and Product Managers to support customer needs and stay updated on technical trends.
  14. Control and minimize costs.
  15. Travel, overtime, and non-Monday-Friday work hours may be required.
  16. Comply with health, safety, environmental policies, and U.S. export regulations.
  17. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education/Training: Associate's Degree or related trade certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical), military training, or equivalent work and life experience (1-3 years). Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office and specialized software.

Experience: 1-3 years in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical/electronic systems.

Knowledge/Skills: Excellent communication, customer focus, teamwork, responsiveness, and willingness to travel.

Supervision: May supervise others on a project basis.

Background: Requires Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and TSA vetting, with successful passing of a federal background check.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service orientation and stress management.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable.
  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs., push/pull 200 lbs., and move equipment up to 1000 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to work in various physical positions and environments, including extreme conditions.

Work Environment

Typically at customer locations such as airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, or cruise ships. May require SSI access and U.S. Security Clearance.
