Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Director to oversee large-scale projects in the commercial construction and hospitality sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:
  • Lead planning, execution, and closing of large-scale commercial and hospitality construction projects.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients for seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans to meet objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Estimating and Bidding:
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates for large projects.
    • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and documents for accurate cost determination.
    • Develop and submit competitive bids, considering all project aspects.
    • Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
    • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor project managers, site supervisors, and team members.
    • Foster a collaborative work environment promoting teamwork and growth.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Client Relations:
    • Serve as the main contact for clients throughout projects.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing concerns promptly.
    • Ensure client satisfaction by exceeding expectations.

    Qualifications:

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or significant experience in construction estimating and project management.
    • 5-10 years of experience in construction project management, focusing on commercial and hospitality projects.
    • PMP certification or equivalent (preferred).
    • LEED accreditation (a plus).
    • Proven experience in estimating and bidding on large projects.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
    • Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Excel).
    • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Work environments include residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
    • Physical activity such as lifting, bending, and working in hazardous conditions.
    • Travel to job sites; availability for emergency responses.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Type: Full-time

    Pay: $70-90k annually, DOE; potential commission incentives
