SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health, the Program Director III is responsible for providing clinical supervision to the Parent Partners, with support from the Program Supervisor. Regular supervision is conducted according to CAMHPS and CFS Policies and Procedures. The Program Director III discusses each participant in the program, ensuring that staff receive necessary support, guidance, and understanding of the clinical aspects of the services, and plans, organizes, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the services provided.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's Degree from an accredited school; requires knowledge of an advanced type.
  • Other (Specify): A Master's Degree or higher with at least four years of experience in the field. Knowledge of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division, relevant programming, and supervisory experience in Social Work or related fields such as PsyD, PhD, LMHC, LMFT, and LCSW. Experience working with families facing issues related to child abuse, neglect, and mental health is essential. Must possess a valid Hawaii State License in good standing.

EXPERIENCE

  • Over four years, up to six years.
  • Other (Specify): Over 2 years of administration and supervision. One-year post-master's experience and one year of clinically supervised progressive work experience in youth mental health or educational settings.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Extensive knowledge of the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD) preferred.
  • Experience working with families within CAMHD and understanding barriers they face.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a multi-island program staff.
  • Occasional travel to neighbor islands and mainland required.

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Hawaii driver's license, clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel using personal vehicle.
  • Verification of licensure/certification required at hire; continued employment contingent on maintaining licensure/certification.
  • Subject to criminal background check; continued employment contingent on a clear record.
  • Successful completion of CPR, CPI, and/or van driving training, as well as First Aid classes, required.
  • Requires tact, discretion, and persuasion skills; ability to handle controversial issues and present new methods or programs.
