Job Title: Remote Job Captain

Job Description

An architecture firm is seeking an experienced Remote Job Captain to join their retail team. The successful candidate will work under the general supervision of a lead project manager, providing support in design development, construction documents, and construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in design development and construction administration.

• Produce construction documents for retail projects.

• Focus on Core & Shell/Building envelope design.

• Support multiple projects simultaneously (5-10 projects at one time).

• Ensure retail food and beverage experience is incorporated into designs.

• Participate in entitlement and site plan processes.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or design from an accredited school.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial interior architecture, with a focus on retail.

• Proficiency in Revit, with consistent use in the past year.

• Experience in prototypical or rollout retail projects.

• Experience in core and shell or ground-up projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Working knowledge of design principles and aesthetics.

• Familiarity with space planning methodology.

• Understanding of furnishings and finishes.

• Intermediate sketching and rendering skills.

• Intermediate interior architecture detailing skills.

• Knowledge of CDs and procedures.

• Familiarity with building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.

• Understanding of requirements for path of travel.

• Familiarity with contract administration.

Work Environment

This position offers a fully remote work environment, with studios available for those who prefer a hybrid or in-person setting. The typical workday is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility in work hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $37.00/hr.
