Job Title: Remote Job Captain
Job Description
An architecture firm is seeking an experienced Remote Job Captain to join their retail team. The successful candidate will work under the general supervision of a lead project manager, providing support in design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
Responsibilities
Provide support in design development and construction administration.
Produce construction documents for retail projects.
Focus on Core & Shell/Building envelope design.
Support multiple projects simultaneously (5-10 projects at one time).
Ensure retail food and beverage experience is incorporated into designs.
Participate in entitlement and site plan processes.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or design from an accredited school.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial interior architecture, with a focus on retail.
Proficiency in Revit, with consistent use in the past year.
Experience in prototypical or rollout retail projects.
Experience in core and shell or ground-up projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Working knowledge of design principles and aesthetics.
Familiarity with space planning methodology.
Understanding of furnishings and finishes.
Intermediate sketching and rendering skills.
Intermediate interior architecture detailing skills.
Knowledge of CDs and procedures.
Familiarity with building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.
Understanding of requirements for path of travel.
Familiarity with contract administration.
Work Environment
This position offers a fully remote work environment, with studios available for those who prefer a hybrid or in-person setting. The typical workday is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility in work hours.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $37.00/hr.
