Based in Bozeman, MT, with the MilTech Operations team and supporting the Institute of National Security Research (INSRE), Ardent Forge, the Applied Research Lab (ARL), and MilTech efforts, the individual in this position will lead and perform a wide array of activities for INSRE and MilTech that assist in the development, management, and support of current and future operational projects and program strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities
The individual will lead and perform activities supporting INSRE and MilTech, including:
- Collaborating with senior leadership and other MSU organizations on strategic development of operational and programmatic projects, processes, and assets to support engagement efforts.
- Applying knowledge of federal, state, and MSU laws, restrictions, and best practices related to national-security research operations, ensuring compliance and meeting customer expectations.
- Leading operational projects and teams to meet quality and schedule expectations.
- Supervising staff and student employees, managing workflows, training, and performance feedback.
- Managing budgets and engaging with external vendors to execute projects.
- Developing strategies for external engagement and creating tools and assets for government project requirements.
- Analyzing outreach opportunities and providing strategic guidance for resource allocation.
- Identifying opportunities to expand utilization of information systems and develop streamlined processes.
- Managing information assets and ensuring consistent messaging across teams.
- Sharing project milestones and accomplishments through reports and success stories.
- Collaborating with teams to understand programmatic differences and support government customers.
- Traveling as needed to engage with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with senior leadership and government stakeholders to develop strategies and initiatives.
- Experience leading diverse teams across nonprofit, government, and industry sectors.
- Knowledge of compliance processes related to controlled unclassified information and government contracts.
- Experience with business development tools, data analytics, and information systems.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain operational processes supporting diverse needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Montana State University policies.
- Military experience or familiarity with military protocols and terminology supporting defense and homeland security programs.

Additional Information

- Must pass background checks and comply with export control laws.
