Salary Range

  • Level I: $5,258 to $6,399 per month (SR-22, Step D to I)
  • Level II: $5,918 to $7,198 per month (SR-24, Step D to I)

Duties and Responsibilities

The Corrections Program Specialist series involves providing staff services to management, including program development, evaluation, policy review, and organizational studies related to the State's Corrections program.

  • Level I: Responsible for program planning, evaluation, analysis, budget preparation, and related duties.
  • Level II: Develops and evaluates program policies, standards, and guidelines; handles complex program development and evaluation tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet all the following:

  • Legal Authorization: Must be citizens, nationals, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the US.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in sociology, psychology, criminology, penology, or related behavioral sciences, including coursework in research or statistics.
  • Experience: 2.5 years of responsible social services or corrections-related work; 6 months of program/staff specialist work; for Level II, 1 year of specialized professional work.

Additional requirements include a valid driver's license and relevant substitutions as specified.
