Shape Hawaii's Infrastructure – Join Our Transportation Engineering Team!

We're looking for a motivated and skilled Transportation Civil Project Engineer ready to make a lasting impact across Hawaii. In this role, you'll play a key technical role on projects ranging from highways and roadways to waterfronts and aviation infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

  • Design roadway alignments, profiles, utilities, and drainage systems
  • Develop detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Perform advanced engineering calculations and craft clear technical reports
  • Support construction with on-site inspections, RFI responses, and submittal reviews
  • Lead small to mid-size tasks independently and serve as a technical expert
  • Help grow client relationships in Hawaii and across the Pacific region

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Hawaii PE license strongly preferred or ability to obtain prior to hire
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3d, and Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Preference given to local candidates

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience in roadway engineering design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with Highways and Roads CAD software such as Bentley ConceptStation, Open Roads Designer, Autodesk Infraworks, Civil3D
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, concept alignments, geometrical layout, and CAD base alignment plans
  • Active participation in our employee-owned culture is essential
