A well-established construction subcontractor specializing in high-end commercial metal framing and drywall is seeking a Project Engineer to join its team. This role offers hands-on experience supporting major renovations and ground-up commercial projects, with a focus on administrative tasks such as submittals, change orders, estimates, and project coordination. Salary Range:

$80,000 - $90,000 / year DOE

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers with estimates, time cards, change orders, and administrative tasks
• Prepare and track submittals, organize extra work tickets, and ensure timely submission of supporting documents
• Coordinate material orders and deliveries, monitor inventory, and track on-site progress against schedules
• Communicate with field teams and support daily schedule updates
• Maintain accurate project documentation from kickoff to closeout, ensuring compliance
• Support job setup activities and review bid documents for accuracy
• Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-focused team environment

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in commercial metal framing and drywall
• Experience with high-rise, hotel, or large-scale renovation projects preferred
• Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently
• Proficiency or willingness to learn OnCenter software (OnScreen Takeoff, QuickBid)
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first attitude
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
