Our client is a leading network integration company specializing in designing and building world-class networks for federal and local government, critical infrastructure, and enterprise companies that require robust and reliable communications.

Job Description:

The Government Account Manager will focus on selling to new customers, as well as cultivating and growing our client's installed base of customers. Customers include Federal as well as State and Local Governments. The emphasis for this role is on Federal government business.

This role will start as an individual contributor, and for the right person, can evolve to a leadership role where you build a team and are running the company's Federal Practice.

The Government Account Manager will work with contracting officers and partners to sell through the ecosystem. You will develop partnerships as well as directly selling new products and services, and maintenance agreements. You will prepare proposals, bid responses and quotes.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with partners in a collaborative environment
  • Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders to understand customer's business and develop strategic roadmaps
  • Cold calling
  • Develop proposals and bid responses
  • Effectively demonstrate the value of our company and solutions
  • Stay on top of industry and technology trends to identify potential opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technical discipline, or engineering
  • Experience with navigating federal markets, including DoD
  • Experience working with contract vehicles
  • Technology Sales experience with proven ability to convert leads to opportunities, and close deals.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications is a plus
  • Technical aptitude
  • Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated with good time management skills
  • Able to work both independently and with a team
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to persevere in the face of adversity
  • Ability to travel within Hawaii and several mainland trips per year
  • Drug test required
