Position: Fuels Construction Quality Control Manager

The Fuels Construction Quality Control Manager performs site quality control oversight of contractors conducting minor construction, maintenance, and repair projects for DoD fueling systems. This role requires maintaining quality control on-site and documenting all project activities to keep stakeholders informed throughout the project.

The initial work will involve long-term travel in Hawaii. Future opportunities may include work in Hawaii, Asia, or the continental U.S..

Locations:

Pearl Harbor, HI - Remote

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma plus minimum 10+ years of DoD Fuels related construction program management, including at least 5 years of safety and Quality Control oversight experience.
  • Ability to manage and lead multiple subcontractors and employees.
  • Willingness to travel abroad for extended periods (up to 6 months) to support field activities at worldwide locations.
  • Proficiency in completing daily/weekly field reports with photos using Microsoft Office.
  • OSHA 30-hour training and HAZWOPER certification required.
  • Certified in Red Cross First Aid/CPR.
  • Familiarity with USACE EM 385-1-1 is preferred.
  • Experience supporting excavation, heavy equipment inspection, scaffolding, electrical safety, confined space entry rescue, and demolition is desired.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Evaluate personnel actions and shutdown activities when quality issues arise, following approved plans.
  • Conduct daily meetings with field teams and facilities personnel as needed.
  • Implement and oversee the on-site quality control program.
  • Serve as liaison with project managers, owners, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and internal departments on quality issues.
  • Assist with material and project plan submissions, ensuring compliance with contract documents and specifications.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including photographic documentation and daily reports.
