Job Title: Sr Customer Service Specialist

Duration: 6-12 months contract to hire

Pay rate: $25-$27/hour on W2

Working hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Location: 100% ONSITE, NO Remote/WFH

This position is for a Customer Service Specialist supporting energy efficiency and water conservation programs, providing incentives for residential homes & businesses. You will be a key member of the call center team, helping to achieve quality and customer satisfaction goals.

The general responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Providing customer call support and responding to inquiries about the efficiency and conservation program. Using knowledge of program requirements to determine applicant eligibility.
  2. Processing customer rebate applications into a work order management system and performing quality control reviews.
  3. Educating customers about energy efficiency and conservation practices.
  4. Maintaining productive relationships with internal and external clients.
  5. Assisting with administrative tasks such as mail processing and managing shared email inboxes.
  6. Collaborating with the team to improve current processes.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • At least two years of experience in a call center environment with external customers.
  • Proven team player with good communication skills.
  • 2-3 years of experience with MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize independently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in customer records.

Preferred qualities include organizational skills, reliability, customer service excellence, and familiarity with project/client management, Salesforce, and energy efficiency concepts.
