The Fuels Site Manager is responsible for site management tasks related to fuel systems, including minor construction, maintenance, and repair projects. They coordinate closely with local points of contact at the facility, the project manager, and subcontractors. They must always maintain health and safety standards and ensure quality control of the site. All project activities should be documented to keep all stakeholders informed throughout the project.

The initial work for this position will require long-term travel in Hawaii. Future opportunities may include work in Hawaii, Asia, or the continental U.S..

Honolulu, HI

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma plus minimum 10+ years of DoD Fuels-related construction program management, including at least 5 years of DoD Fuels safety oversight experience.
  • Ability to manage and lead multiple subcontractors and employees.
  • Willingness and ability to travel abroad for extended periods (up to 6 months) to support field activities at worldwide locations.
  • Experience in completing daily/weekly field reports with photos using Microsoft Office.
  • OSHA 30-hour training and HAZWOPER certification are required.
  • Certified in Red Cross First Aid/CPR.
  • Familiarity with USACE EM 385-1-1 is preferred.
  • Experience supporting excavation, heavy equipment inspection, scaffolding, electrical safety, confined space entry rescue, and demolition is desired.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Regular communication with the client regarding project schedule and progress.
  • Execution of all aspects of Fuels projects as necessary.
  • Implementation of cost-effective and labor-efficient schedules for personnel and subcontractors.
  • Completion of all project tasks safely, efficiently, and within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Management of internal teams and subcontractors, with evaluation of personnel actions and shutdown of activities when safety or quality issues arise.
  • Conducting daily meetings with field teams and facility personnel as needed.
  • Acting as liaison with project managers, owners, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and internal departments on technical, safety, and quality issues.
  • Assisting with material and project plan submissions, ensuring compliance with contract documents and specifications.
  • Providing detailed photographic documentation and daily activity reports.
