Job Overview

The Department of Transportation Services seeks a Transportation Facilities Compliance Officer (Planner VII) to oversee the daily management of the Rail Facilities Management & Maintenance Branch. Responsibilities include developing strategies to ensure rail operations and maintenance meet contractual requirements and Key Performance Indicators through effective leadership, resource allocation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage rail facilities maintenance to ensure maximum system efficiency.
2. Oversee processes and resources for rail service requirements, including elevators, escalators, station cleanliness, grounds maintenance, and environmental concerns.
3. Review design criteria and submissions for rail facilities and coordinate activities involving contractors.
4. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements

Experience: Four years in transportation planning or engineering projects, including at least one year in a supervisory role involving facility planning related to transportation or industrial activities.

Education: Graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a focus on city planning, architecture, engineering, economics, sociology, public administration, or related fields.
