Responsibilities

1. Report to the Operations Manager & Maintenance Manager.
2. Operate and maintain satellite communications earth terminals and all associated equipment on a 24/7 basis.
3. Use electronic test equipment and cryptographic equipment.
4. Perform circuit troubleshooting, testing, and fault isolation.
5. Monitor system status, respond to alerts, and report outages.
6. Coordinate hardware and software upgrades, configure data collection parameters.
7. Perform maintenance on modems, multiplexers, converters, amplifiers, servo systems, and satellite tracking systems.
8. Test, patch, and reconfigure equipment as needed.
9. Follow the navy's Maintenance and Material Management (3M) program for maintenance tasks.
10. Create and track tickets or incidents for documentation and parts requests.
11. Ensure safety of personnel and equipment.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of IAT Level II certification or a 4-year Science or Math degree.
2. Completion of formal U.S. Navy 3M Systems training.
3. At least three (3) years of supervisory experience in maintenance management.
4. Knowledge of electricity, radio theory, digital and timing techniques, and ability to interpret technical documents.
5. Ability to lift 50 lbs. over 50 feet horizontally and 35 lbs. vertically over 50 feet.
6. Available for emergency callouts on a 24-hour rotating shift.
7. U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Security Clearance required.
