One of Hawaii's largest healthcare companies is seeking a System Engineer to join their Server team. The ideal candidate should have experience with enterprise backup administration, VMware, and Linux. Preferred backup tools include Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity, among others.

**This client is a hospital organization, so the candidate must be vaccinated, pass a two-step TB test, and a 10-panel drug test.**

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

1. Provide infrastructure support for systems of moderate complexity.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with hardware and data center software.
3. Assist the IT Department in developing best practices and solutions for infrastructure issues.
4. Serve as a Tier 1 escalation point for infrastructure-related issues.
5. Collect data using performance and uptime monitoring tools.
6. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
7. Create and maintain documentation related to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.

Additional Skills:

Experience with Veritas, VMware, Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, PowerShell, and automation tools.

Work Environment and Logistics:

This position initially requires full on-site presence, with potential to transition to a hybrid model. There is a rotation for on-call duty every 3-4 weeks, during which the employee will work on-site five days a week. Parking is not included but can be subsidized at $110/month near the Punchbowl campus.

Pay and Benefits:

The salary range is $80,000 to $104,000 per year.

Benefits include comprehensive health coverage with medical, surgical, hospital, prescription, and vision plans, with unlimited lifetime maximums. Plans are PPO-based.
