Position Title: Logistics Specialist
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: Logistics Manager


POSITION SUMMARY:
The logistics specialist manages mail production, product resource, collaboration of proposal, contracts, and a strategy to achieve cost optimization that aligns with our organization. This position will execute and deliver recommendations to customers that pertain to supply chain, patient care and mail resources.

Starting Wage: $43,704.96/year.

The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification/Licensure:

  • Valid State of Hawaii driver's license
Education:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
Skills/Experience:
  • Knowledge of computers (google applications)
  • Typing skills and ability to use calculator
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English orally and written
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification/Licensure:

  • One (1) year experience in purchasing in a healthcare setting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Operate postage meter, sort ingoing and outgoing mail, replenish funds
  • Process purchase requisitions, invoice reconciliation through workday
  • Proposal, quotes, agreements from suppliers
  • New vendors meets our workday requirements
  • Process receiving, revising and closing of purchase orders
  • Manage patient equipment, supply orders
  • Communicate recommendations for out of stock, substitute, and back order items.
  • Monthly reporting for finance i.e. credit card, postage funds, etc.
  • Performs mailing requirements
  • Capital asset management
  • Group purchasing organization for cost optimization
  • Follows and adheres to all organizational and departmental policies and guidelines, code of conduct, and REHAB employee handbook.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
