Summary The Site Lead is the primary front-line security officer responsible for responding to emergencies using proper tactics, techniques, and procedures within established time constraints.The Site Lead assists with administrative duties such as correspondence, memos, quality control, training recordkeeping, scheduling, CPR and first-aid scheduling, drug testing, physical exams, payroll processing, data entry, and work schedule distribution. Other duties may be assigned by management.Responsibilities include ensuring subordinate security personnel (Security Guard II) perform client services according to contract requirements, policies, procedures, and applicable laws.Applicants must possess a valid state-issued guard card prior to employment.*Note: We are not currently recruiting for this position. Applications will be reviewed as needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.Maintain understanding and proficiency in all duties outlined in the Security Guard II job description.Provide briefings to incoming officers on current activities and ensure knowledge is current.Inspect each guard post within the first 2 hours of shift and document visits.Respond to incidents as needed during shifts and direct guard responses.Be knowledgeable of all guard posts and site locations, resolving issues or escalating as necessary.Generate timely and accurate reports, including payroll, training, certification, personnel, and event logs.Review incident investigations and ensure proper notifications are made.Monitor project expenditures to ensure budget compliance.Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage at all times.Monitor staff compliance with safety, health, and HR policies.Coordinate with management on staffing, hiring, and HR compliance.Ensure staff are trained in security procedures and operational protocols.Mentor, train, and coach guards on safety and operational procedures.Maintain logs and distribute according to procedures and contractual requirements.Manage issuance and logging of badges or passes.Audit and inspect weapons, gear, and equipment issued to staff.Follow up on violations and facility deficiencies.Perform other duties as assigned or required by the contract.Access to government facilities is mandatory. Denial or revocation of access may result in employment termination.Supervision The Site Lead supervises Security Guard II personnel, ensuring work meets company and client standards.Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED.At least one year of armed security, military police, or law enforcement experience, plus one of the following:Associates degree in Criminal Justice or related field, orThree years of security experience in the past five years, orThree years of military or National Guard service (active or reserve), orCompletion of POST training.Basic computer skills and excellent communication skills.State Armed Security Guard license.Fluency in English (spoken and written).Ability to pass background check, drug test, and physical exam.Valid driver's license.Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances and pass annual weapons qualification.Preferred Qualifications Experience with M4 / Remington 870 and .40 caliber platforms is preferred.Shareholder Preference Preference given to qualified Ahtna Native Corporation Shareholders, Descendants, and Spouses, per PL 93-638.Core Competencies Effective communication (oral and written).Self-motivation and initiative.Teamwork and leadership.Organizational skills.Time management.Flexibility to adapt to changing workflows.Physical Demands Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and handling objects; occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
