Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking an Automation Tester I to work as a team member with demonstrated experience in evaluating software for automation needs, implementing automation test frameworks, and writing automation test scripts. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with strong technical troubleshooting skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively with development teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing and developing a comprehensive automation test suite based on client business processes.
• Maintain automation test scripts in response to software updates.
• Stay current with automation tools and industry best practices.
• Assist with coordinating execution of test scripts and documenting results.
• Evaluate manual test cases for automation feasibility.
• Support manual testing as needed.
• Track and communicate testing status to stakeholders.
• Ensure system performance and readiness in collaboration with the team lead.
• Execute test cases, analyze results, report and track defects, and report metrics.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, a problem solver, and eager to learn.
• Demonstrated experience in Python programming within test automation.
• Experience with Selenium for web automation, including designing and maintaining test frameworks.
• Experience with Pytest and writing test scripts.
• Understanding of modular programming principles.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Experience with SQL and XML.
• Knowledge of Agile development processes.
• Prior experience with PeopleSoft is preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in software development, government, or DoD environments.
• 1+ years of automation testing experience.

Clearance: T3 background investigation required; must be a U.S. citizen.

Work Location: Honolulu, HI, with 2 days on-site and hybrid options.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform repetitive motions, follow audible communications, and sit for prolonged periods, with or without accommodation.

The projected salary range is $70,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
